Pre-arrival to the uk
On receiving the details of an expatriate moving to the UK an Encore Relocation consultant will make contact to discuss the individuals’ needs and priorities regarding their relocation. We will forward a questionnaire to confirm all the pertinent issues regarding details of family members, timing of the move and preferred locations. Any education and schooling needs would be dealt with as a priority as this could affect the final choice of area.
Temporary accommodation
We have long established contacts with agencies and serviced apartments in the UK and are able to source temporary accommodation for short term assignments or for clients waiting to move into their long term properties.
Meeting on arrival
We can arrange for our clients to be met at the airport and taken to their destination.
Property search
As we are retained by our client and do not accept fees or commission from other parties we are totally unbiased when searching for the right home in the right area for our clients. The experienced Encore consultant, chosen to be compatible with the assignee, meets the client to discuss the homesearch itineraries, aided by the comprehensive welcome pack we provide to assist with the familiarisation of London and the surrounding areas.
The client is given an orientation tour of several suitable areas taking into account commuting time, proximity to relevant amenities, schooling and budget and incorporating typical local properties. The client is accompanied by the Encore consultant throughout the homesearch programme and advised appropriately when reviewing a short-list of properties. Should a family have children with schooling needs appointments at suitable schools are included in the days’ programmes.
Once a property has been chosen our legally qualified in-house executive negotiates all aspects of the lease following the parameters of the client company and the individual. Our priority is to protect the tenants’ interests as the real estate agent is representing the landlord.
Many of the practical issues associated with moving into a new home will be arranged by Encore Relocation including liaising with the shipping company, connecting of utilities and arranging of an inventory check-in.
Settling-in
Prior to moving into their new home our consultant will introduce the client to local amenities including, for example, shopping, sport and leisure facilities, nanny/au-pair agencies and local ex-patriate support networks. We will also assist with the registration with a doctor and dentist. Any concerns or queries the client may have will be addressed and resolved during the initial stages of the relocation and continue throughout the stay in the UK.
Education and schooling
Encore’s educational consultants have twenty five years experience in this field and understand that schooling is of paramount importance to families relocating to the UK. We can guide parents through the complicated UK school system, advise on the choice of international schools and assist in placing children with special needs. We will arrange and accompany to school appointments, co-ordinating with the homesearch programme if appropriate.
